Marquee tents
Marquee tents are a hybrid of the pole tent and the frame tent. They are designed to give you the showiness of a high pitch pole tent with the benefits of installation of a frame tent. This tent has an assembled framework made of aluminum pipes that supports the fabric roof and defines the shape of the structure. The rigid framework allows the tent to be free standing without additional support, but requires the same rope or cable anchoring system as a pole-supported tent to hold it in place. They utilize a cross cable system to support a center pole that rises from 8 or 9’ off the ground allowing for no internal poles reaching the ground. They are available in smaller sizes, from 10 x 10 to 34 x 40’. These tents are great for smaller events, festival booths, buffet lines, ceremony seating, shade seating and entry ways.
Frame - Clear Span Tent
A type of tent that features an assembled framework of aluminum beam arches that support the fabric roof and define the shape of the structure. The stronger construction of the aluminum beam frame makes these tents suitable for larger or longer-term applications than other types of tents. The box-beam framework also allows for large areas of unobstructed "clear span" space beneath the fabric roof (no internal poles or legs). The peak of these tents reaches 16’ to 19’ allowing for very spacious experience. These tents come in widths ranging from 30-50 feet wide but can run 200 plus feet in length.
Pole Tents
The pole tent is a very tall, showy, big top that resembles a circus tent. This style is usually used on large open grassy spaces like in parks or on a ranch. The inside ceiling is a great space for special lighting effects and the interior poles lend themselves to install interesting decorations. These tents feature a set of individual poles arranged beneath the fabric roof to support and define the shape of the structure. The fabric roof is tensioned over the poles and attached to ropes and/or cables at designated spots around the fabric's edges. The ropes/cables are anchored to the ground using stakes, augers or weights around the perimeter of the tent. Avalon has a 60’ wide system that can extend up to 120’. Pole-supported tents are the grandfather of the tent industry, and were once the only type of tent available.
